Media Monitors acquires majority stake in Brandtology for holistic offering of Mainstream & Social Media Intelligence

A global leader in online and social media intelligence, Brandtology today announced that Asia-Pacific’s leading media intelligence company, Media Monitors, has acquired a majority stake in the company. This is in line with the growth strategy for Brandtology to be able to provide all clients with a holistic offering of both mainstream and social media intelligence globally.

As the social media industry matures, it is no longer sufficient to analyse digital as a channel in isolation. For better decision making in corporate strategies, both offline and online sources have to be taken into consideration.

Brandtology founder and CEO, Eddie Chau said – “This is the logical and exciting next step for Brandtology, allowing us to continue our rapid growth across existing and new markets and maintain our focus on research and development with the financial strength and broad Asia Pacific sales network of the region’s leading media intelligence company behind us.”

The synergy between the business models of both companies is shown in the joint emphasis on accurate data, relevancy and deep insight. This is Media Monitors first acquisition since being acquired by Quadrant on 1 July 2010.

Brandtology will remain a distinct brand within the Media Monitors Group, with the acquisition allowing for an end to end solution for clients in terms of media intelligence. The company would like to thank all clients and partners for their support thus far. The team at Brandtology, together with Media Monitors, looks forward to continue to provide quality intelligence across all forms of media channels in the coming months.
